Musical beginnings:
"I started listening to my dad's old tapes - of artists like Fatsy Cline and Loretta Lynn - and began to sing along with them. Then I just kept on singing."

Professional beginning:
At 11, Allison sing with the Texas swing band Whiskey River, performing in clubs around South Texas. She next joined the popular dancehall band Rhythm of the Road, which draws about 1000 people each weekend night to their shows in South Texas.

"I love Mexican food, especially enchiladas and tortillas."
